MICHAEL CORDARO
FOUNDER + PRINCIPAL
Michael Cordaro was the driving force behind Peerless’ transition from developing small residential properties to handling more complex deals. Our portfolio now includes commercial, mixed-use, multi-family, hospitality, and retail assets.
After graduating from the University of Illinois Champaign Urbana in 2005, Michael took his finance degree and entered the world of high-frequency trading in his hometown of Chicago. He earned a job at Allston Trading, worked his way up to partner, and ultimately joined the board.
As if his day job wasn’t enough work, Michael founded Peerless in 2009 as a side-hustle to take advantage of the plummeting real estate market. He quickly found success and grew Peerless into a company that controlled over $100MM in real estate. Michael has now transitioned to managing Peerless full time and continues to play a pivotal role as a creative thinker guiding the business.
Michael is also an active member of several Angel Investing, and Venture Capital Groups based in the Chicagoland area including Keiretsu Forum Midwest, Breakpoint Ventures, and West Loop Ventures.
He is a lifelong resident of the Chicagoland area and enjoys golfing, travelling, and spending time with his wife and 3 kids.
BLAINE REAMES
MANAGING PARTNER
Blaine Reames started in the world of high frequency trading at Allston Trading after graduating from the University of Illinois Champaign Urbana with an economics degree. While at Allston, he spent two years in London establishing a new trading desk and was made Partner.
In 2009, Blaine joined Peerless as a founding member and investor. He brings Peerless 15 years of investing and analytical expertise that he wields to increase returns to Peerless and it's capital partners. He focuses on data driven methods and proprietary price modeling to enhance the traditional acquisition process and streamline deal execution and operations.
Blaine is a lifelong native of Chicago. He is married with two children and enjoys golfing, trading, and spending time with family.
JOSEPH PATRICK
DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT
Joe Patrick is a strong team leader with a unique eye for detail, making him an asset to Peerless. Day to day he manages the entitlement, design, and construction process for each new development in our portfolio. As a licensed Architect and LEED accredited professional, he provides valuable designs and input during the acquisition research and due diligence phases.
He has more than 25 years of experience in design, construction, and real estate development in the Chicagoland area. In addition to architecture, Joe also has a master’s degree in civil engineering and spent time studying abroad in Versailles, France. He takes a hands-on approach to tackle any problems that arise and provides Peerless with a refreshing architectural perspective.
A native of Chicago’s south side, Joe enjoys coaching his kids’ soccer and basketball teams, hiking with his dogs, and spending time with his extended family.
RYAN COHEN
ASSET MANAGER
Ryan Cohen joined Peerless after working as a Financial Planning Analyst for Ryerson. At Ryerson, he focused on corporate finance functions, quarterly board reports and assisted with managing their industrial real estate portfolio.
At Peerless, Ryan works diligently to underwrite commercial real estate investments, assist with the development process, and leads the asset management function for the portfolio. He is detailed oriented and uses his experience to diversify the skillset of our team.
He lives in the lively Fulton Market neighborhood of Chicago but loves to travel when he isn’t enjoying time in the city. He also plays soccer and is an avid Tottenham Hotspur supporter.
JACK DINARDO
DIRECTOR OF CAPITAL MARKETS
Jack DiNardo joined Peerless in 2023 as its Director of Capital Markets. Jack is primarily focused on sourcing and managing the execution of debt and equity placements for Peerless’s development projects.
Prior to joining Peerless, Jack founded 8th Street Partners, a real estate development and investment company concentrated on healthcare and related properties. Previously, Jack directed leasing and development of medical office buildings on behalf of a Chicago based developer. Prior to that, Jack was a Vice President at CBRE, where he advised clients throughout North America on site selection and economic incentives negotiation. Jack began his real estate career at Cushman & Wakefield where he marketed the disposition of develop and re-development sites throughout the greater Chicago area.
Jack completed his master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Northwestern University where he was a four-year letter recipient and two-year starter for the football program.
TAMI CORR
EXECUTIVE ASSITANT & OFFICE MANAGER
Tami Coor joined our team in 2016 and is responsible for making sure that our office operates efficiently. She is a lifelong resident of Illinois and is happily married. On the weekends she enjoys going to her summer home, eating out and watching movies.
KAITLYN AHERN
SENIOR ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE
Kaitlyn Ahern joined Peerless as a Senior Accounting Associate in 2023. Kaitlyn has eight years of experience in real estate accounting, valuations, and portfolio management from roles at Heitman LLC, KPMG, and Partners Enterprise Capital. She graduated from the University of Illinois Champaign Urbana with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting, as well as a CPA.
She is a lifelong resident of the Chicago area and enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and son.
